Synology DiskStation selection - Enquiries - 11-12-2022 Hi, I was considering buying the Synology ds920+ over the ds418 for my home office to share files and pictures to cellphones, home tv and work computer. I also wanted to back up pictures from cellphones on to the drives instead of paying Google for storage. I wanted to keep with intel chips over amd due to their reliability and lack of overheating issues. Would you believe this is a good solution or should I be consdering the latest and greatest dsxx23+ solution? I have no reason to add cameras as that is on its own system. RE: Synology DiskStation selection - ed - 11-17-2022 I would recommend getting ds920+ while you still can. DS923+ does not support multimedia. This includes remote access to your surveillance footage. If you need 10gbe and intend to use your NAS locally only then ds923+ is a good choice. But if 10GbE is not necessary, it is just a waste of money. I hope this helps. |
