Regarding FreeNAS on an Asustor device - Enquiries - 11-03-2022
Hi.
Regarding the video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5y9BDkwHmQ ) and post ( https://nascompares.com/guide/truenas-core-on-an-asustor-nas-installation-guide/ ).
I bought a Asustor Lockerstore 4 (AS6604T) mid 2021 and the first thing I tried was booting it with a Ubuntu 21.04 live CD and eventually installing. Most things worked fine except from the LCD display, the fromt panel buttons and the fans (haven't tried since, though).
Which device did you install on? And did you experience the same issues? If so, did you manage to solve it?

Yes, we installed it on Nimbustor. You will not be able to control LCD. These are unique functions for NAS OS.
