Building Storage NAS - Enquiries - 11-02-2022
Looking for advice on a server compatible with MAC/PC for professional-level editing. I'd like to have 4~ TB's of the highest speed storage for ingestion from camera's and 4k editing. The rest of the storage can be a bit slower to be transferred to nightly. Most projects would be 4k projects, short films and youtube videos primarily.

I would recommend Qnap 10Gbe or Thunderbolt NAS. You can use NVMe SSD for live projects. Finished projects can be stored on a cheaper and lower media such as hard drives.
The most popular options are TVS-h1288X and TVS-872XT. These models offer both TB and 10GbE.
If you need something cheaper, TS-h973AX is all in one 10gbe solution.
Synology alternative to this is DS1621xs
