Plex install failing to create log folder - Enquiries - 10-02-2022 Hello! I just purchased a DS920+ last week and have been following your youtube video series "Synology NAS Setup Guide 2022." I'm currently attempting to install Plex on it but when I get to the first step where it prompts for "Optional name of a shared folder where PMS can write its Log files," no matter what I do it does not create a shared folder anywhere on my volume 1. I read through the comments hoping anyone had a solution to this and one user commented that "most newer versions of Synology OS are incompatible with Plex." As I just purchased my NAS a week ago I would fall into this category. Do you know if this statement is true or not? Any advice on how to proceed or do I just need to wait until Plex catches up with the latest DSM version? Thanks so much for all your help and wonderfully incisive videos. RE: Plex install failing to create log folder - ed - 10-07-2022 I would recommend installing Plex manually if the package from Appstore do not work https://nascompares.com/answer/how-to-update-plex-on-qnap-and-synology/ You can also create a Plex shared folder manually on the NAS. Also, make sure Plex user has access to this shared folder https://nascompares.com/answer/plex-library-folders-empty-synology-dsm7/ I hope this helps. |
