replace existing HDD with bigger hard drives on WD NAS MyCloud - Enquiries - 09-21-2022 I followed the process of upgrading the HDD to a bigger one as explained in "https://nascompares.com/answer/upgrade-replace-existing-hdd-with-bigger-hard-drives-on-wd-nas-mycloud-and-other/" I upgraded from 1 TB to 4 TB. Everything works except capacity shows 14.4 GB rather than 3.14 TB. What should I do? Casey RE: replace existing HDD with bigger hard drives on WD NAS MyCloud - ed - 09-24-2022 The last step of this procedure is to change the volume size. Also if you run RAID1 - both drives need to be replaced. get to My Cloud main menu click on ‘storage’ Under ‘Raid’ tab by ‘RAID Volume’, pick ‘Change RAID Mode’ It’ll warn you that it’ll interrupt the current services. Press ‘continue’ Pick RAID 1 and you should see ‘Expand Capacity’ option I hope this helps. |
