Synology Removed Cache nvme - Enquiries - 09-12-2022 I had recently set-up 2x500GB nvme cache drives and decided to slot in 2x1TB instead. The synology beep and messaging lead me to 'remove cache drive' which i opted for but now the entire previous volume across the 5 drives has 'disappeared' (SHR). Not wanting to do anything else is there an easy rebuild with the new cache drives in place to recover all the data (around 30TB of media!) or should I reinsert the original cache but guess having 'removed' it means it wont be valid/available. Any thoughts or suggestions would be most helpful. RE: Synology Removed Cache nvme - ed - 09-16-2022 There is a button to remove SSD cache safely. Without it, you could cause data loss. I will not be able to help you with this. You should contact Synology support as soon as possible. |
