what to buy - Enquiries - 09-11-2022 Hi I've been looking at getting a synology NAS for my home. I have no idea where to start. 4 users Equipment and uses for a NAS 2 IPHONEs Android phone Macbook 2 windows laptops 2 android tablets 1 ipad 4 security cameras (eufy) Possibly run a plex server Back up devices Music storage General back ups. RE: what to buy - ed - 09-11-2022 I would recomend Synology plus series. It supports full windows and Mac backups. You can also backup your phones and tablets. Remote access might be safer on Synology if you have no IT knowledge - how to set it up securely. Qnap 53d or 64 series would be a good for use in local network though. Qnap offers few extras like object recognition in your photos and more free camera licences. I hope this helps. |
