Installed PLEX on my Synology NAS DS418 and it doesn't ask for a directory to find media - Enquiries - 09-09-2022 I have ran PLEX on my home MAC but need to move everything over to my Synology NAS DS418. I followed your instructions to install on the NAS and did so successfully however it does not ask for direction to be pointed to the media on the NAS. It sees to be just a plain Plex install. I only want to run PLEX from the NAS instead of leaving the MAC running all the time. Please help if you can. RE: Installed PLEX on my Synology NAS DS418 and it doesn't ask for a directory to find... - ed - 09-09-2022 Yes, you will need to go to the settings in Plex app (https://app.plex.tv/) and choose the file location https://support.plex.tv/articles/200289266-editing-libraries/ You may also need to change folder permission like this https://nascompares.com/answer/plex-library-folders-empty-synology-dsm7/ I hope this helps. |
