What Nas should i consider? - Enquiries - 02-28-2020 I need a NAS to have a folder shared on my private network, so that i can access all videos, photos and music that i have on all devices. I usualy use Kodi for this For now i share a hard drive from my desktop pc, but i need to have it always on, and i would like to have another solution I considered qnap ts-230, but i now see it doesnt support Kodi? I have android tv's so the Kodi would run on the tv, not on NAS What Nas should i consider? - ed - 03-19-2021 Yes, if you have a KODI on your TV then NAS can be used only for file storage.Any Qnap or Synology NAS will allow you to create a shared folder and enable DLNA so that you can access multimedia across the Ethernet. You do not need to install KODI on your NAS. TS-230 will have an option for drive mirroring as protection or an option to simply combine bot drives.I hope this helps. |
