NAS Selection? - Enquiries - 02-28-2020
Looking at a NAS with a 3K budget (just for the NAS, storage will come later) I was thinking about a TVS-h1688X this will be used for PLEX that wil handle 5 - 10 streams of which may have 3 - 5 transcoding. I would also like to use a GPU if possible for hardware tanscoding.

Qnap /tvs-h1688x do not support PCIe graphics cards based on their compatibility page. But it does feature transcoding engine Intel® UHD Graphics P630.This should easily cope with several 1080p streams.
