QNAP psu upgrade from 250watt to 550? - Enquiries - 02-28-2020
I’m looking to install a GPU in the QNAP TVS-x72xt series. I would like to know if upgrading the psu from 250 watt to 550 watt (psu from the TVS-hx88x series) is a simple plug and play.

Installing a GPU card on the 72XT series will be a good upgrade for virtual machines (it will not work with video transcoding if you had that in mind)https://www.qnap.com/en/compatibility/?model=357&category=25The supported graphics card will work with the existing power supply, no need to upgrade it. If you do want to upgrade, you will need to find a matching PSU.
