SSD Cache? - Enquiries - 02-28-2020 Hi, I am buying a Synology Ds920+ Nas. I am populating it with 4 2TB iron wolf SSD drives.how much SSD cache do I need? Thanks, Jim SSD Cache? - ed - 02-11-2021 The cache is something that can be added at a later stage. Synology comes with an internal cache calculator. Based on your use- it will tell you how much cache you need.Otherwise, you can do the math yourself. You need to predict how much data you will be transferring up and down the storage on a daily/weekly basis. In a home environment, 250-500GB is way enough. Businesses with 10 or more users could consider a 1TB SSD cache.I hope this helps. |
