QNAP TVS872xt too old? ? - Enquiries - 02-28-2020
I am thinking of purchasing a QNAP TVS872xt 8 bay NAS, but I am wondering if this model, which is two years old, is due for an upgrade. If so, any idea how far off it is, and if it's worth waiting for? I am a still photographer buying a NAS for archiving and access of digital photos, and while this device seems like overkill, it also seems like the best option.

Even though Qnap 72XT is still the most popular choice among video editors, they have released a new model TVS-h1288X (and other 88x variations) that support Thunderbolt card upgrade.Alternatively, the downgrading option would be the 72N series.All of these models are a very good choice, and the age of release does not affect performance.I hope this helps.
