Hello and thanks in advance for your advice. After years of putting up QNAP debacles, we're finally in a position to. order this SYNOLOGY UNIT.
My question; Do you know of any products upgrade/update to this particular model please?

Thanks for getting in touch, and completely understand wanting to move away from the QNAP issues you have been dealing with. The RS1221+ is a solid and dependable rackmount system, and for business use with four by eight terabyte drives it will do the job reliably without complications.
There are no upgrade or replacement versions of this unit currently available. Synology has not released a newer revision for this product line, so the RS1221+ remains the active and correct choice in that category.
One thing worth keeping in mind is that this model launched in 2021, and Synology typically provides around ten years of DSM updates for their rackmount products. That means the RS1221+ should still receive firmware updates for another five to six years, which is still a healthy support window for most deployments.
