For an OEM or ODM build like this, your best starting point would be CWWK or MINISFORUM’s manufacturing branch, both of which already handle small-to-mid volume NAS production for third-party brands. They can customize firmware (SMB/NFS/DLNA, mobile backup, etc.), preinstall drives, and handle DDP shipments to India. You can contact them directly through their Alibaba or official B2B sales channels, as they already support CE, RoHS, and BIS compliance for India.
Your price target of ₹6,000–₹7,000 (around $70–$85) will be tight for a 1-bay NAS with a 2TB NAS-grade HDD included, but it may be feasible at scale with simplified plastic chassis tooling and Realtek-based boards. Expect NRE/tooling charges if you want branding or packaging customization.
