Raid10 - Enquiries - 07-05-2025 Hi Rob I am installing TS364 and I have 2 4TB Red plus and 1 8TB red pro and my thinking was to have the two 4TB mirrored on one 8TB. Is this config possible and if so how do I do that? Thanks madhu RE: Raid10 - ed - 07-10-2025 On the QNAP TS-364, you’re not limited to a single RAID configuration for all three drives. QNAP lets you create multiple storage pools and different RAID levels on the same NAS. So in your case, you could: • Create a RAID 1 mirror with your two 4TB drives, for redundancy. • Use the 8TB drive as a separate single disk volume for additional storage. This way you keep your critical data mirrored, and still make use of the extra space on the 8TB. Also worth mentioning — the TS-364 has 3×3.5” bays, but QNAP also sells dual-SSD adapters that let you install two 2.5” SSDs in a single 3.5” bay. That’s great if you ever want to add SSD cache or a separate fast SSD pool later without giving up all three bays. |
