DO NOT Mix Old and New HDDs on Setup - Dean - 01-19-2025

I’m setting up my TerraMaster F6-F424 Max. First I installed four new 24 TB WD Red NAS HDDs and two used 12 TB WD Gold HDDs. The TerraMaster would not boot up for initial install. No lights on the Ethernet connections on unit or router. Removed the used HDDs, which were working fine in the older TerraMaster NAS I own, and the F6 booted like a dream. Live and learn.
