NAS upgrade? - Enquiries - 02-28-2020

Hi I have a DS418 and want to got to an 8 bay or larger . Synology are dragging the chain with no m.2 and gbe . I can get a as6510t which covers all the basis. The only thing is that I like the synology software. SHR is easy for me to understand and expand.
Would I be making a mistake changing ? I have a 10GBE network which i use from home to write software.
I enjoy watching your videos,

Thanks
Terence

Synology DS1819+ would be the next logical upgrade. Asustor is miles behind Synology development and support. You would not want to go backwards with this.DS1819 or DS3617xs will allow you to upgrade to 10GbE and M.2 cache or even allow 3.5inch bays to be used for caching. And maybe soon Synology will release their 10g+m.2 card. We hope.I hope this helps.
