QNAP and external blu-ray drive - Enquiries - 10-09-2024 Hello, I am new to NAS/QNAP and cannot figure out what is wrong. I have a nice USB external Blu-Ray/DVD optical drive that also has 4 USB ports and a SD card slot that I've used for an old laptop. Plugging it into a TS-464 and the file station doesn't recognize/mount any disks I put in. It does however recognize all the USB drives as well as USB mouse/keyboard and the SD card that I insert into the optical drive. Is there anyway I can get the QNAP to recognize the DVD/Blu-Ray or CD I put in? RE: QNAP and external blu-ray drive - ed - 10-11-2024 I think it may not be compatible. Have a look here https://www.qnap.com/en-uk/compatibility/?device_category=optical%20drive&brand=lg RE: QNAP and external blu-ray drive - Westicia - 10-18-2024 Try connecting the optical drive directly to the NAS without using the extra ports. |
