NAS Case manufacturer - Enquiries - 10-03-2024 Hello, for a Home NAS project with at least 3 locations (3 NAS units), I am planning to go for a DIY solution with TrueNas. There are a few NAS cases mentionned on NasCompares like JONSBO. I also found SilverStone and FractalDesign but it appears that there a only a few manufacturers I am looking for a 6 3,5" disk hot swap model Can you advise me what other manufacturer ? Any particular recommandation ? Best Regards RE: NAS Case manufacturer - ed - 10-04-2024 For a DIY NAS project with TrueNAS, you’re right that options for cases with 6x 3.5" hot-swap bays can be limited, but there are still some good alternatives to JONSBO, SilverStone, and FractalDesign. Here are a few other manufacturers to consider: Icy Dock – They offer hot-swap cages you can install into standard cases. Cooler Master – Known for their versatile cases, some models can be adapted for NAS with drive cages. Chenbro – Specialized in server and NAS cases with hot-swap functionality. U-NAS – Compact cases designed specifically for NAS builds, often with hot-swap bays. If you're looking for a clean solution under €300, I'd recommend looking into Fractal Design's Node 804 or SilverStone's CS381 for excellent hot-swap support.
