Broadband advice - Enquiries - 10-02-2024 Hi, I am desperate for some advice, i have been watching your youtube videos, I live on a farm where we have no direct wired broadbands to our house, our house wifi is draytek and is all linked through the farm so touching or changing this is not an option. I get terrible latency with ethernet wired connection too my PS5 from the draytek machine so am taking it upon myself to get my own wifi for the bedroom for ps5 purposes only! I have been advised that perhaps a 4g/5g wifi option is best for me. Could you please offer any advice and or propose something that would be ideal for my situation. If you need my address it is Me9 0JT The Willows. I am a competitive gamer on the PS5 so low latency is a must have! please help. Thank you. RE: Broadband advice - ed - 10-04-2024 Thanks for the info! Before moving forward, I’d suggest a quick check on your current 4G/5G speeds using your phone. If you get decent speeds near the house, a dedicated 4G/5G router with an external antenna on the roof should work great for your PS5 gaming needs. However, if your phone’s speeds aren’t good, then you might want to consider Starlink as an alternative. It offers solid speeds even in rural areas, and it could be a game-changer for low-latency gaming. |
