You can indeed connect Direct Attached Storage (DAS) boxes via USB to the Ugreen DXP6800 Pro. Thunderbolt 3 on the Ugreen DXP6800 Pro is specifically designed for connecting computers and utilizing LAN over Thunderbolt, not for DAS connections.
So, for connecting DAS units, make sure they support USB connections. Thunderbolt 3 will be used for high-speed data transfer and networking features between computers.
