Let me know what you think would be the best choice for a switch and UPS (Synology has not tested these choices to work with DS1522+ possible compatibility issue)

For your switch choice, considering your setup and potential future expansion, the Netgear MS510TXM could be a solid option. It offers a good balance of performance and affordability, with features like 10G connectivity that align well with your NAS and CAD system requirements.

As for the UPS, both the APC Smart-UPS SRT 2200VA and the Eaton 9SX 2000VA are excellent choices, providing reliable power protection for your critical equipment. Since your load requirement is around 1769W, either UPS should be able to handle it comfortably. However, given the slight difference in capacity, the Eaton 9SX 2000VA might offer a bit more headroom for future expansions or additional devices.
