NAS? - Enquiries - 02-28-2020 I think I have a good idea of what I need, but saw this article and I thought I would reach out. NAS will be used for local backups of 1 PC, 2 Windows servers and 1 MAC. About 1TB of media for Plex server. Currently, Plex is running on a standalone Dell server running HpyerV, but thinking it might better to run it off a NAS. Looking for plenty of room for growth as well. NAS? - ed - 02-15-2021 Depends on what movies wan to stream. Qnap x53 series is a good choice because even though you TV or mobile device do not support certain file types or size it will be able to resize the movie on the fly. Many people move their Plex to a NAS because it is also cheaper to run and give you RAID protection.I hope this helps. |
