Ds918+ 4 Bay - Enquiries - 01-20-2024 Good day and thank you for this amazing service I write to ask what is the max hd capacity I can use in a bay on ds918+ I currently have 3 x 8tb WD Red and 1 x 3tb and the latter I won't to upgrade to a minimum 12tb I have read on Reddit 16tb will work but on synology unofficial forum they say 12tb So I thought I would ask an expert Kindly Simon RE: Ds918+ 4 Bay - ed - 01-24-2024 Hey Simon! Absolutely, you can go ahead and use a 16TB drive in your DS918+. While it might show a compatibility warning if the drive isn't officially listed, rest assured that it will still work. If the warning bugs you, there's a handy hack available to disable it. |
