Hello,
I greatly appreciate your insightful videos and reviews on YouTube. I'm currently in the market for a reliable storage solution to replace my aging Drobo devices ("Drobo S" and "Drobo 5D"
.Ideally, I'm seeking a 5/6 bay system that can function as a DAS device via Thunderbolt, akin to Drobo's beyond RAID system. While I've come across unboxings of QNAP, Promise, and Terramaster DAS systems, there seems to be a shortage of comprehensive reviews and comparisons.
Your expertise would be invaluable in guiding my decision. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, currently, there is no NAS or DAS solution with Thunderbolt connectivity that supports the drive mixing feature. The closest alternative would be to consider a 10GbE NAS with Synology's SHR (Synology Hybrid RAID) feature.
