Synology for hosting my own webpage - Enquiries - 11-05-2023

Greetings,

I have been watching your YouTube for a while, a big fan.
I do have two Synologys (DS718+ and DS220j). I use 718 for my live system and the 220 for my backups of 718 (weekly).

I have my own webpage (coded by myself) that is currently running on GoDaddy.

Was thinking of hosting my website on a Synology. Advisable? Any good options?

Thanks for being a fan! Hosting your website on a Synology is definitely doable and can offer more control. With your budget of USD 700, consider the Synology DS723+. It's a robust NAS that can handle hosting a website efficiently. Install the DSM's Web Station package for hosting, and you can even use Let's Encrypt for SSL. Just make sure your internet provider allows hosting, and you're good to go. Happy coding!
