Hi,

Could you guys help me out? I have a Qnap TS-264 NAS with a single 8TB drive in it. Recently, I purchased a 12TB drive and would like to swap the two drives while keeping the 8TB drive as an offline backup. Currently, I have 5TB of data on my NAS, and I want to ensure that I don't lose any of my data during the swap. Unfortunately, I don't have the funds to buy a third drive to assist with the process.

Do you have any advice on how to do this? For example, is it possible to clone the drives in Windows 11?

Thanks for your help in advance.
You can remove drives and install a new drive in a NAS and set up the NAS from scratch. After that, you can get a USB dock and connect the old drive via USB to copy data over to the new drive. Alternatively, you can connect the old drive to a PC and copy data via LAN, which is much slower. However, it's important to note that you cannot clone drives for a NAS.
