Hi Guys, I have an numbustor as5304t nas, unfortunatly the 2 onboard lan ports do not work anymore due to a lightining strike.
I now have to use a usb to ethernet adaptor instead. I have been hit by the dead bolt attack and all my data has been trashed.
luckly i have backups so no problem there. MY issue is this. Asustor Control Center cant see my nas because Im using the USB
Adaptors not the onboard Nics and so I can Rebuild my nas. If I had a hdd image of a drive that has been initalised by ADM I
could get back to the adm inialisation page and rebuild my nas but i dont. Do you have any other Ideas i could try to initalise
my disk without the use of the onboard Lan ports?

Your help would be much appreciated

Regards

Mr Henry
In this situation, one option you can consider is to transfer the drives to another Asustor NAS model that supports your drive configuration. By moving the drives to a different NAS unit, you can regain access to your data and continue the rebuilding process. Be sure to choose a compatible model that aligns with your requirements and supports the same drive setup.

Additionally, I recommend reaching out to Asustor support directly for further assistance. They can provide guidance tailored to your specific situation and offer alternative methods to initialize the disk and rebuild your NAS, even without the use of the onboard LAN ports. They have the expertise to help you navigate through this challenging situation and ensure a smooth recovery process.
