Would the TS-264 be a good replacement for our current ts-219p+ ? Can I buy the TS-264 and install 2 SATA SSDs in RAID 1 for total storage? Can you recommend best disk\storage to use? (2 HDDs only or 2 HDDs & SSD cache or just 2 SATA SSDs)

Yes, this is a good upgrade option. You can also have M.2 Nvme cache to speed it up.
WD red or Seagate Ironwolf is the way to go.
