Hello
single user, home network
Presently have the DS1515+. LAN1 is connected to my modem. Plan to connect LAN2 to my modem (link Aggregation)
Can I also connect my Mac Studio 10 Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45) port DIRECTLY to LAN3? (ethernet connection)
If it is possible, is the 1515+ 10 Gbps capable as long as the cable can support that speed (Cat6a).
Would this be possible or fraught with problems?
Any advice would be appreciated
TIA

Yes, you can connect MAC via 10gbe using your NAS 1GbE or 10GbE LAN port. Both will work.
But you will need cat6a cable and a NAS 10Gbe card to maximise the speed. But also consider HDD speed limitations. SSD are faster.
