Hey guys I am in the market for a PCIe M.2 NVME SSD card. The purpose will be to solely update firmware so I dont need something expensive or feature rich.
I have an old PC knocking about in which the motherboard has PCIe x1 and PCIe x16 slots.
Can you guys recommend an adapter card which supports both M.2 NVME and M.2 SSD drives that could work with that motherboard.

Thanks in advance and keep up the great work.
Sure, there are a variety of PCIe M.2 NVME SSD adapter cards on the market that support both M.2 NVME and M.2 SSD drives and can work with PCIe x1 and PCIe x16 slots. One example is the StarTech.com M.2 NVME SSD PCIe Adapter Card (PEX4M2E1), which supports PCIe x1 and x16 slots and can accommodate both M.2 NVME and M.2 SSD drives. It also includes a low-profile bracket for installation in small form factor systems.

Another option is the QNINE M.2 PCIe NVME Adapter, which is also compatible with PCIe x1 and x16 slots and supports both M.2 NVME and M.2 SSD drives. It also includes a heatsink to dissipate heat from the drive.

Both of these adapter cards are affordable and should work well for your needs of updating firmware.
