I'm looking for a 2 bay NAS to replace WD. Its for home and I want to be able to save files , and have as well as have automatic backup to the NAS from Windows 10/11.
2) I currently run Plex server on my main desktop PC would much rather run Plex on the NAS and store my media files there too. Plex would run to devices in ourh home only.

From your videos I'm looking between Asustor and Synology but what is stopping me from moving forward is which CPU is the best

Would the Asustor Nimbustor AS5202T work or should I step up to a AS6702T (Lockerstor 2 -gen 2) ? Or would you recommend a specific Synology product? I know Synology is getting strange on using their memory/drives

For local streaming of 1080p content via Plex, a Celeron-based NAS is a good choice. These NAS devices have lower-powered processors and typically lower price points, making them a good option for budget-conscious users who primarily need the NAS for local streaming.
If you need to transcode 4K content remotely, a more powerful NAS with a more powerful processor would be necessary. In that case, a NAS with an i5 CPU, like the QNAP 674, would be a better fit.
