Maybe you got email that I sent you last this weekend.


I am thinking buying the QNAP TS-431P3, wihich has a 32bit CPU 4 cores..
For mostly streaming of 4K HDR and storage.
But if you wanna recomend me some other NAS, maybe Sonology or somethig, in the same price range , that is great.

I think synology DiskStation® DS418 might be an option..
with quadcore 64bit CPU .
what would you choose my friend ?


But it really needs to be able to play 4K HDR10 smooth...
I am now using a TS-251+ I have some issues sometimes with lagging etc..

For local streaming, I would recomend Realtek based NAS such as ds418. In fast you can even transcode 4k remotely if you use Synology video app.
Other apps like Plex will demand i5 CPU or GPU card upgrades.
