Thanks for the great effort on this subject. It certainly helped us to explore the possibilities with the awesome device. I saw this on Amazon, and someone mentioned that it works well with Synology even with 16GB x2. I tried it on my DS1821+ and they seem to work well and passed the memory test as well. Anyone mentioned about it before?

Technically it should work.
We have not tested it. Amazon has easy returns, so you try it. You can not damage a NAS by trying.
Maybe start with a single RAM first. And then add another.

The memory test went fine.  Could there be any effect to the data integrity overtime by using un-official memory, or over the amount of memory specified in the spec?  In my example I have installed 32GB x 2 on the DS1821+ with max memory of 32GB only.

With RAM, it either works or it doesn't. Especially if you have ECC error-correcting memory.
