Looking for a good Nas video editing solution im not too concerned about archiving or backup.
I'm looking for speed, ie 4k footage.
It would alos be good to be able to edit remotely. Thanks for your time Emmet
For video editing, it is important to choose a NAS device that has a fast processor and sufficient memory to handle the demands of 4K footage. You should also consider the type of drive used in the NAS, as a device with solid-state drives (SSDs) will generally offer faster read and write speeds than one with hard disk drives (HDDs).

One NAS device that you may want to consider for video editing is the QNAP TVS-874 / 872XT. It is powered by an Intel Core quad-core processor and has plenty of DDR4 memory, which should be sufficient for most video editing tasks. It also has two Thunderbolt 3 ports (72xt), which allow you to connect external devices such as video capture cards or additional storage for even faster performance.

In terms of remote editing, you can use the QNAP Qfinder Pro app to access and manage your NAS device remotely. You can also use the QTS operating system to set up a virtual private network (VPN) connection, which will allow you to access the NAS and your video editing software from anywhere with an internet connection.
