I'm looking to buy a NAS for home/small office use, that serves also for file sharing, web and mail server. I've looked at Synology's DS920+, it's a good mach for my needs, but i'm not shure on choosing HDD or SSD. Please give me an advice on what would be more reliable and secure. Thanks!
Yes, ds920+ will allow you to set up a file server and mail server, and much more.
When choosing between HDD (hard disk drive) and SSD (solid state drive) for a NAS, there are a few things to consider:

Cost: HDD drives are generally less expensive than SSD drives, especially for larger capacities. If cost is a major concern, HDD drives may be a more budget-friendly option.

Capacity: HDD drives are available in larger capacities than SSD drives, so if you need a lot of storage space, HDD may be the better choice.

Performance: SSD drives are generally faster than HDD drives, especially when it comes to reading and writing small files. If speed is a priority, SSD drives may be a better choice.

Reliability: Both HDD and SSD drives can be reliable, but SSD drives may be more resistant to physical damage and tend to have longer lifespans.

Ultimately, the choice between HDD and SSD will depend on your specific needs and budget. If cost is a major concern and you don't need a lot of storage space or extremely fast performance, HDD drives may be a good choice. If speed and reliability are more important, SSD drives may be worth the extra cost.
