I have just joined the Forum and needed some expert advice from you guys.

I am looking for a NAS System for watching my collection of 4K and 1080P Movies, I will add other stuff as I get up and running.

I have been watching numerous Videos on You Tube by Robbie, and they are very good and very informative.

I have just ordered 6 x WD Gold 14TB from Ebuyer for £239.99 each.

After watching numerous videos I am looking the following: -


Synology 

DS1621+

DS620slim



QNAP

TS-673A-8G

TVS-675

TS-653D-8G


I would grateful for any suggestions and any advice.

For local streaming at home, you can use any NAS you listed and be able to use those drives.
Accessing videos remotely when away from home will be more challenging. Celeron-based models will do a better job. Models like DS620slim would be recommended. Or some people go for Qnap 73A series and install GPU card.
