is it possible to set the transcode to ram on qnap like they show in unraid videos. i cant find any videos on showing how to do it with qnap

There are two types of transcoding. Offline and on-the-fly. Offline, generates an additional file that is stored on the hard drive. On the fly transcoder converts few seconds ahead of the video. This is kept on the RAM.
