I have bt fibre with the modem in the ultiltiy cupboard and can't be moved it has 1 Ethernet ports but 2 ports on the wall one to the bedroom and 1 to the front room I there a way to have a router in each room or do I need 2 switch to run from the router and have the router outside the door for WiFi as it will be in the middle of the house thanks
Yes, you can either connect a switch wherever you need more LAN ports or you can use a router or access point such as MR2200ac (https://amzn.to/3TSG0yB) if you rather need WiFi mesh points. You can also have a combination of both. A mesh point with a connected 5 port (or more) switch. https://amzn.to/3SyNaqP

I hope this helps.
