I'm going to be using the NAS primarily to store and stream video content. I will be ripping DVD videos and audio CDs from my existing collection.

What would be the best video format to store on the NAS?

Based on video transcoding tests and streaming, these files have the best performance
MKV 24fps HEVC/h264 AC3/AAC
