Hello there,
i would need your advice for a new and first NAS.
I want it to be:
- relatively small (small house, need to find a place for it, maybe i'll have it stay on a shelf or smth)
- backuping all (2 people) our pc data for safety
- capable of setting up a small film library
- capable of keeping all photo/vids and have them accessible from outside home
- id'd rather have 2 bays than 4, optimal 4TB, excellent would be 6TB
- i would love if it stays cool, now we have 38°C in italy so...
aaaaaaaaaaaaand what else, thank you in advance for your time!

D220+?
I would recommend Synology DS220+ or DS720+. These two models come with a graphics chip built in. This will allow you to access videos remotely. You will also be able to back up MAC/ WIN and other systems. You can even replace your Dropbox with Synology Drive app which is very similar. Built-in AI engine will recognise the faces in your photos and will allow easier photo filtering.

I hope this helps.
