I'm wrestling with the decision: Synology DS 920+, 1522+, or 922+. Presuming the 922+ would have 10G transfer rate.

In reading your reviews and noting the Surveillance cameras opportunity in this system, I am curious as to how high the resolution of the cameras could be if the 920+ is chosen?

I am trying to find 12 MP security cameras at manageable prices, and so, would like to know if such cameras (high data rates) are manageable in the 920+ context.

As of today I have been requested to find a video doorbell that can be recorded as well. In reading through the offerings I am not sure if any of even the wired models have remote storage as an option? If you know of any please advise.

Does the surveillance camera capability of the 920+ make my American Dynamics Intellex Ultra video recorders obsolete?

I have a negative association w.r.t. the Celeron processor, and this more than other issues make me think I should wait for a 922+. Is this a valid concern?

I have just ruined a number of drives both with, and without, data on them by plugging them into an ostensibly new/refurbished SSK docking station - If that data point has value to you...

I'm hoping the 920+ will be able to revive the new WD 16TB Gold drives(2), which were new and unblemished before the docking station? Is this likely?

In essence I am upgrading to an NAS because of my experience with the docking station. (That and the fact that I have so many smaller external mount drives that I can no longer keep track of them.)

I need to act soon, so any guidance you can offer is most appreciated.

My technical understanding of the devices mentioned above is limited to approximately the information contained above.

Thank you.
