Yesterday I got this message from my Synology NAS:

Dear user,

The following is your monthly report regarding the health of disks on niels1819. You can also check the health of individual disks at Storage Manager > HDD/SSD > Health Info.

Only drives with problems are displayed.

Drive 3
S.M.A.R.T. Status: Normal
Bad sector count: 2
Drive reconnection count: 0
Drive re-identification count: 0

Drive 6
S.M.A.R.T. Status: Normal
Bad sector count: 0
Drive reconnection count: 20
Drive re-identification count: 0

Sincerely,
Synology DiskStation
You should keep an eye open on these drives. It does look suspicious. If drive 3 bad sectors go up to 10 in next month or two then you should consider changing this drive. A single drive redundancy, the last thing you want is for 2 drives to fail. Drive reconnection count on a bay 6 do not indicate that there is something wrong with a drive, but more likely with a backplane on a NAS. Also, monitor this for a week. If it keeps disconnecting, you should talk to Synology.I hope this helps.
