Hello,

I need some advice for purchasing a NAS system.
I access some information in the cloud on the street (DNS) and I usually access DLNA to movies (with subtitles) and photos on SmartTV, I do some backups.
What is the real advantage for the 2 bays?
What are the best/price HDD?

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,

If you often access movies remotely while away from home, you need multimedia friendly NAS models such as DS220+ or DS720+. Dual bay NAS will mirror all data from a first drive to a second drive. This way, if one drive fails, you still have data on the other drive. But if you do not have any precious data on your NAS you may consider merging two drives together and double storage capacity. If one drive fails, all data is lost, but you can copy data back from a backup and continue using the system.I hope this helps.
