Hello and thank you for your great website, super useful!

So I got a good bargain on a QNAP TS-262-4G and to my pleasant surprise, the NAS came with 2 Memory Slots as I was expecting soldered memory.

Only one is currently used, and there is a sticker on the bracket that mention warranty void if removed. As it is a brand new unit, I don't want to void the warranty (yet) so I am just looking to double up to my memory from 4Gb to 8Gb, but I want to make sure I buy the right one without removing the warranty sticker.
Assuming that it does share the same motherboard as the TS-462, there are overpriced memory for sale on the QNAP website.
Which 4GB should I buy?
It's great to hear that you've found the QNAP TS-262-4G to be a valuable addition to your setup! To upgrade your NAS from 4GB to 8GB without voiding the warranty, it's essential to choose compatible memory modules. While QNAP does offer memory upgrades on their website, you can also opt for third-party alternatives that are often more cost-effective. Look for DDR3L SO-DIMM memory modules with specifications matching those of the existing module. Since your NAS already has one slot populated with a 4GB module, you'll need to purchase another 4GB module to achieve a total of 8GB. Ensure that the memory module you select is compatible with your NAS model and adheres to its technical specifications to avoid any compatibility issues. By choosing the right memory module, you can effectively boost the performance of your NAS while staying within the warranty terms.
