Good day

I have a question, I would like to use an old Office PC (buy on ebay) as a NAS server, mainly for Jellyfin. But I'm not sure about the manufacturer and model. Rather Dell or HP or Lenovo. It should have room for 4 3.5 HDD.

Thanks in advance
Hey there! Using an old office PC as a NAS server is a fantastic idea, especially for running Jellyfin! When it comes to choosing a manufacturer and model, Dell, HP, and Lenovo all offer reliable options. Look for a model that has enough room for your 4 3.5" HDDs, ensuring it has sufficient SATA ports for connectivity. Dell OptiPlex, HP ProDesk, or Lenovo ThinkCentre series are good places to start your search. Consider factors like processor power, RAM capacity, and expansion options to ensure smooth media streaming with Jellyfin. If you're on a budget, buying from eBay is a smart move, just make sure the PC is in good working condition. With a little DIY spirit, you'll have a customized NAS setup tailored to your needs in no time!

Look at i3 or i5 based PCs.
