I can't find how to connect the PLEX server on DS224+ to my TV and I can't find where to specify the directories for PLEX to use. I have had PLEX for a long time on a Windows PC, but this is my first PLEX on a NAS.
Hello,

Setting up Plex on your Synology DS224+ for the first time can be a bit different from a Windows PC, but it's a fantastic choice for a NAS-based media server. Here are the steps to connect the Plex server to your TV and specify directories:

Install Plex on DS224+: Ensure that you have Plex installed on your DS224+. You can download the Plex Media Server package from the Synology Package Center.

Access Plex Web Interface: Open your web browser and enter the IP address of your DS224+ followed by the Plex port (usually http://yourDS224IP:32400/web). You will be prompted to set up your Plex account or sign in if you already have one.

Set Up Libraries: In the Plex web interface, navigate to the Libraries section. Here, you can specify the directories where your media files are stored. Click on "Add Library," choose the library type (Movies, TV Shows, Music, etc.), and point Plex to the appropriate directory on your DS224+.

Connect Plex to Your TV: You have several options to connect Plex to your TV:

Smart TV App: Many smart TVs have a Plex app available. You can download and install it directly on your TV.
Streaming Devices: If your TV doesn't have a built-in Plex app, you can use streaming devices like Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire Stick, or Google Chromecast. Install the Plex app on the streaming device and connect it to your TV.
Enjoy Plex on Your TV: Once connected, you should see your Plex libraries on your TV screen. Navigate through the Plex interface using your TV remote, and enjoy your media content.
