Looking for recommendation on Server for my home office setup (1-5 people max) handling our architecture files/folders. Have run Cat6 wire, and have WD 2TB MyCloud wireless looking to upgrade. Have a server area set-up for future switch location and Fios Internet. Maybe you will have more questions. Thank you for insight!
Great to hear you're upgrading your home office setup! Considering your needs for handling architecture files and folders for a small team, I'd recommend the Synology DS923+/ DS1621+. It's within your budget and offers a solid 6-bay configuration, allowing for up to 18TB of storage with 3TB drives in RAID 5. The quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor should handle your file management and sharing needs efficiently. Since you've already run Cat6 wires, the DS1621+ supports 10g (and backwards 5GbE), providing faster data transfer speeds. It's a well-rounded choice for a small office setup, offering reliability and scalability for future expansion.
